She's a Survivor!!!

Of Breas.t Can.cer that is. "M" is all through with her treatments and is can.cer free!!! Praise God!!!! She has such a positive attitude about what she went through. She is unbelievable. She goes with the flow. She also has M.S. She won't let her "illnesses" get in the way of her life...she never called these things illnesses...just bumps in the road. She has been asked to speak at different conferences because of her positive attitude w/ca.ncer. Can you believe that? I believe her attitude and her relationship with God saved her....plus her children. She has an adorable 2 year old...she's so laid back...I just had to laugh at her. Like mom..she just goes with the flow. Thank you for praying for her.

"M" and I have been friends since the 4th grade...actually earlier than that but it was in the 4th grade that we really connected and became "Best Friends". We had some years we didn't talk or got too busy with our lives but lately we've been talking more and really connecting. I need a good girlfriend to talk too. Female bonding is wonderful. We talked a lot about what I am going through and she even brought me to tears. I think now she understands somewhat how hard IF is. It's interesting...but she's always been so positive I'll get pregnant. Always! She's praying for me. THis is rather funny but she is a hair stylist. She was looking at my hair and she told me that the gray in my hair actually looks like highlights and that I don't need to do anything about them. What? She said if I got highlights in my hair that would suffice to cover up the gray if I so wanted. Hmmmm.....She works from her home and is so busy with clients. She's good at it. I appreciated her opinion. She'd do my hair but she lives a good hour and a half away from me. Kind of far when I need to get my hair done. I also hope to see my dear girlfriend more often. The visit was so good. I wish she lived closer. I could use more female bonding time.

Also...my dh and I are going away on our mini-trip tomorrow....and no computers. We cancelled this trip once due to my cycle "woes" but this time...it looks good. I need to get away. We are going to visit a location where my family used to have a summer home. It's actually a really fun place....lakes all over and lots to do. So...it will be nice to remember the "good ol' days" when I was younger. I think a change of scenery will do us good too.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. God Bless.

  1. Enjoy your getaway, and congratulations to your friend. That's wonderful she's now cancer free. I'm jealous about her comment that your gray hair looks like highlights. Mine does too . . . after I color it. Otherwise, it looks gray. Go figure. Happy weekend!
