Prayers needed for neighbor and family.
I just found out this afternoon that my neighbor who lives across the street from us was killed Wednesday morning in a car accident. He was only 48 and leaves behind a wife and three children, two boys in high school and a young daughter who is about nine or ten. It's weird how I found out since I only met the wife once soon after they moved in about three years ago (they are very quiet and do their own thing). I was reading the obituaries today and I recognized the man's picture....then I thought ....there were a lot of cars and people going in and out of their house yesterday and I had seen a minister...I remember thinking "I wonder who died over there?" I thought maybe a grandparent, etc. (I never saw other cars at thier house. ) My dh calls me the "nosey" neighbor...but hey, I'm the one that notices the strange things right? My husband went to a Knight's meeting yesterday and a friend of his was talking about how he worked with a man who was killed while going on a sales call Wednesday morning. It's all tied in together now. Please pray for this family. Their loss is great and pain is much. I made a casserole to take over to them however my dh found out from his friend that the family is having the services back in a town were the rest of the family resides. So...I put it in the freezer and I will take it to them when they return. My dh and I were remembering that we just saw this man out Sunday morning with his wife, admiring some flowers they had planted. This incident just makes me remember none of us don't know how long we have to live....and do I want to live my precious days crying over IF or making the best of it and living graciously? I thought about losing my own husband. There's no way to prepare. Even though I didn't know the man personally or family, it's sad looking at the very quiet house across the street knowing the family is grieving, knowing I won't see him drive to work or come home anymore or see him telling his boys to do yard work. The man's p/u truck sits in the driveway..that day he drove a different vehicle. I just wonder if the other neighbors know. I'll talk to them. Anyway, please pray for this family. God Bless.
