The S.W. from Cath. Charit.ies just came by for the usual six month license review/follow up. She was here for ten mins max. She checked our smoke detectors and told us some young women have been coming in to the agency but none are seeking adop.tion. Okay...I knew that but the lack of phone calls! My dh and I had our usual talk after the sw left. We are happy with our lives and are betting or praying we have our own biological child. I'm sure my new cycle will be starting soon and the next step is the inject.ibles and all that goes with that. Thank God I'm off for the rest of the summer and don't have to worry about being sick and trying to work or go to class. I can laze around if I need too. My dh and I are in the midst of planning a little getaway too. I just need to get away...to be one with God in nature. Ahhhh...that sounds so inviting.
On to some good news! I finished that six week super intense class! Woohoo!!! And I did blasted awesome in the class and you know what? I enjoyed the content...not the 1 hr 40 min drive.....or late nights.....but the earl.y literac.y content was so worth it. I'm ready to teach! The two professor.s who taught this course were so bloody passionate about earl.y literac.y it flowed into me. I think I may have make reading and writing my "platform" when I teach. I love to read and write. That's a good thing since for these courses I do a lot of it. Whew! Anyway...it's so refreshing to have gotten good news and to be one class closer to my certification. Praise our Good Lord!!!! BTW...I've been enjoying all the classes I've taken but this one ROCKED!
(So for those of you reading this with "little" family members...books make great gifts (nursery rhymes are good) and environmental print (restaurant/store signs, road signs, cereal boxes, newspaper print,) is everywhere...read, read, read! ) My focus us earl.y child.hood...reading is a fabulous hobby for all ages. I love reading myself. :)
I love reading. I can't go anywhere without a book. I picked it up from mom who is an avid reader herself. I have fond memories of my brother and me sitting next to mom on the couch while she read from a big book of fairy tales.
