New to Blogging
Hi, I'm new to this "blogging world". I have read some great stories on this site and have even posted my own comments! I like that this site is Catholic. I have been searching for a place where I can share my thoughts, etc about infertility and accepting God's will for our family. My husband and I are getting to a point where we are ready to stop trying and accept our life with or without children. We have many blessings to be thankful for, one of which is our strong marriage! I couldn't be happier with my husband. Infertility is a tough journey and we have worked hard to make it a prayerful one. My prayer for the year is to find peace and know that it is okay and that I will have a purposeful life without my own children. I'm tired of being envious of others with children. I truly want to be happy for everyone and I feel that I am but when I introspect, I find that I am still sad. Hmmm.......thank God for prayer. I guess I am still searching for that "something" to replace my desire for my own child.

ReplyDeletePraying for you!
Welcome! I hope your new blog will give you a place to share your thoughts and to work through your emotions as you wait on the Lord. It can be very therapeutic! In your "about me" you mention your licensed to adopt. Does that mean you are on a waiting list for a child and could get a call any day? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteYou are in my prayers!
Thank you for responding to my blog and for your prayers. I pray for you too. I enjoy reading your blog and look forward to reading more about your own journey. I find your story encouraging and insightful. Did you have a follicular ultrasound series done when you visited Hilgers? Could they tell by your chart that you had endometriosis? So far, my dr is not talking about that.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question we are on a waiting list to adopt. Unfortanately, the Catholic Charities in our area has had only one infant adoption in the last two years. The agency is busy with foster care cases and not infant adoptions. So, we've given up on that call. We have checked with other agencies and prayed about it and so far, are not compelled to switch yet. We've thought about foster care but that isn't warming our hearts either. We may visit foster care option again when I am done with grad school. Right now, we are still working with the Creighton method and lots of prayer. God Bless.
