Well, last week I finally finished all the extra course work/hours I needed to get my E.I/Dev Therapist credential and I sent all of my paperwork to the state. I got an email this morning stating that I have finished the educational requirements and now just have to get fingerprinted, etc and I will get my initial credential..which means I can start working with babies very soon! Woo Yaa...insert pic of PJ doing the happy dance! I thought they got back to me pretty quickly and it's a relief to know that I am finished with the initial course work. I did it all online too which was so convenient and I could do it in the comfort of my home. I can now check that off my list. Thank you Jesus!
Now I just have to order the supplies I will need (assessment instruments, etc) and get that fingerprinting done...I hope to do that tomorrow. God is good and seems to be answering prayers when it comes to my career. Lord willing, the background check, etc won't take too long. I do look forward to working with God's children and families.
One side note: I went to get my b/w done yesterday (in case you read my last post) and the tech took blood from my hand. She couldn't get anything out of my veins in my arms. They were being stinkers! hahaha...it didn't hurt that much and no bruising. So, no complaints. :)
St. Anne...Pray for us!!!
Exciting stuff! So proud of you for making this move :) Glad the blood work got done and it's over. The last post was so frustrating...
