Total Rant Post

Ugh!  I haven't felt this miffed in a long, long time.  Like a good patient I thought I was going to the lab near my house (I have no bad experiences from this place all year) to get my p+7 b/w done.  I know it's Sunday but I also knew they were open.  The place is huge and has a prompt care, etc.  Well...said lab person calls me back and I basically get the gist she usually does not draw blood...she works in prompt care.  She was not a nurse...not sure what the abbreviations on her badge stood for.  Any ways...I tell her where to stick me and to use a butterfly..blah, blah, blah.  My method is good.  She went to the spot where I told her and she could not find my vein.  She couldn't feel anything.  She started to complain that she wished there were more staff on Sunday's so she could get help...um...my first indication..this woman did not know what to do.  I'm not an easy stick.  I am well aware. So, I let her poke me once and of course, no blood.  She looked and looked again..she couldn't find anything...and complained and even mentioned that I could go the hsp which is another half hour away.  I went to this lab (which is affiliated with the hsp) for my convenience...not hers.  She mentioned poking my hand which I "politely" declined...if she didn't know what she was doing..then why would I let her poke me in a most sensitive area????  I told her I'd come back tomorrow and she seemed so relieved....and I made sure to get my paperwork back as to not have my ins. charged for this fiasco.  I was livid.  I have never had to leave without my b/w being done.  I guess I learned a lesson and I won't be getting b/w done there again on a Sunday.  If they are going to staff idiots...I want no part of it.

I went to the receptionist desk and made sure I was not being charged and when I told her I had to come back..she said "Why?  You shouldn't have to do that." and I "nicely" responded "well, the lady in the lab doesn't know what she is doing."  I left with that. 

I have to go back tomorrow in which I will complain.  First off, I remember another lab worker telling me there that they are NOT suppose to send patients to the hsp for b/w.  They are all suppose to be trained to do this.  Well...I guess not today.  It was a complete waste of time.  I swear.  Oh well...so I'll have a p +8 draw done instead.


Anyways.. as a side note....this past cycle I took clomid..and I have noticed that my boobs do not hurt at all post peak. They hurt every cycle.  I find this lack of symptom very odd.   I am now wondering what clomid did to my hormones.  I've been eating lots of junk lately too...that's a very typical side effect of clomid for me.  The saga continues.....
