that put a smile on my face. Here is a little list of ten things that I am so thankful for and when I think about them...I smile. :)
This is random, no special order:
1) Getting a new magazine in the mail.
2) Reading a good book ( I have to recommend Sophi.a Kinsell.a's new book "Twen.ties Gir.l" Hilarious and original. My dh asked a few times why I was laughing out loud...and I answered "It's the book." I just love a good read." This author wrote the "Shop.aholi.c" book/series..which was made into a movie (I haven't seen it yet).
3) Putting together a great family meal (like Thanksgiving) and making everyone else smile.
4) When my cat climbs on my lap, looks me in the eye and sweetly puts his paw on my face. It's his way of saying "I love you". I just melt.
5) A good haircut!
6) Putting scented lotion on myself after a nice long, relaxing shower.
7) Losing a pound!
8) Doing some of our "living in love" exercises...that weekend was so totally worth it!
9) Home made banana bread. Yum!
10) Having a nice chat with a girlfriend.
Oh, there's many others....but I thought I would share ten that are sticking out. Of course, the big things I'm thankful for is my God, Faith, Husband, Family and Friends (including blog girls), and my job and health. As this year's Christmas Season is upon us...I'm going to make it one where I'm giving thanks more, praying more and dwelling on the negative less. I want this holiday to be a positive one (which it usually is).
Also, I'm thinking about renaming my blog to "Living God's Will". I just have been thinking about it and I feel a tug towards those words. I feel like that is what I am doing now. I'll keep you posted...and I'll keep my "prayerfuljourney" name...that one has always been perfect for this journey that I am on. God Bless you all this Christmas Season!
What a great list! Hope your kitty is doing great after the vet visit!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like there is lots of cheerfulness in your home!
LIM: My "boy" had an awesome vet visit..thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteLovely list.
ReplyDeleteThose little things really do help in making the big "bad" things melt away for a while :) Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteLiving God's Will is a perfect name, I think. You do it so beautifully :)
I like the new name. And the list is fabulous. You're so right - we have to remember to see joy, because IF doesn't take all the good things away, and it's far too easy to see only one thing.
ReplyDeleteI like your list. Aren't pets wonderful for putting a smile on your face?
