Oh boy...I can't believe I'm even blogging about this. We got a call yesterday from our agency that there is a baby up for placement....the baby is a girl! She is a bi-racia.l baby...which is no issue for us. This time (unlike others)...is that we can't think of any reasons to say "No"...so we are going to say "Yes!" Can you flippen believe it? The clincher???? She's already born. She is in a "loving" home waiting for parents. She is healthy.
Of course, the agency is going to call other couples...that is always going to happen. But I just have a feeling...she may be our daughter. I can't get my hopes up...as we all know(but I have)...but if we are chosen...that means...She'll be coming home with us soon! This is so insane...My dh said calmly last night after working two jobs and getting home late "I can't think of any reason to say no...should we just let God decide?" I nodded "yes".
Please pray for us!
Thy will be done! God asked me last night if I trusted in Him? I do. I honestly do.
Also...as some of you know I'm set up to stude.nt teach in the fall....I might postpone it. I don't know yet and won't make any final decisions until we know for sure this little girl is coming home with us.
I'm nervous and somewhat scared. I guess that would normal, huh?

ReplyDeleteThat is incredibly exciting! Why do they call other families if you say yes? Or do they have to present the yes families to the birthmom to decide? It just sounded like birthmom is potentially already out of the situation, but then I don't know anything about adoption. I think letting God decide is perfect. I hope it works out that she's yours!
