First of all, thank you for the suggestions and prayers...it is all very appreciated.
1. We are talking with an "agency" right now. They are more of a facilitator. They advertise and market us and find the birth mothers ..and we will work with an adoption agency for the home study and legal affairs. This particular place has a 95% success rate in finding couples an infant. Wow. They are expensive...no denying that. We need to save money for possible travel too. So....we are praying and praying. This place gave us referrals so we could call/email some of these couples and find out what their experience was. I'm placing my trust in the Lord that He will lead us to our forever son or daughter.
2. Last Sunday, I happened to go to a very special mass at a convent not to far from me (I knew of the convent but just never went to see what was going on there). I knew a sister was making a "profession" which I really didn't know what that was until I read the program and realized she was taking her vows to become a nun. Ladies, it was a grace filled experience to be in the presence of this event. Sister Mary John Paul became a cloistered nun. I didn't get to see her throughout the service...for she was at the side of the alter behind a grill. I was all choked up during the service as she took her vows. The words, the atmosphere, it was just something to witness...there really are no words. It was an unexpected surprise and after the mass...I was able to greet the new sister. At the convent there is a little room where us "outside" people could go to talk to the nuns. They are behind a grill...we can shake hands but that's about it. She was very humble. Today we received a thank you card from her that she is praying for us. We do need it. It's things like this that make me thankful I'm Catholic! Thank you Lord! Thank you to the women who answer the Lord's call. I just love our faith. We'll be going to this convent again maybe for mass or hopefully to witness another sister take her vows!
The job is going well. I still like it and I have been learning so much. I've seen some good growth and success in my kiddos already so that is just the icing on the cake. I finally feel like I am making a difference in the families and child's lives I work with. I feel purposeful.
St. Anne...pray for us!
We are still on the fence with continuing to TTC ourselves. We'll see what happens on the adoption front before we completely stop but the dr my dh went to see was very unorganized and really "ticked" my dh off. That situation has not been helping. Lord Help Us!
Wow, I missed your last post because by the title I thought you were looking for technical help in working with Blogger! I'm so glad to hear that things are going well with your job. I will keep your adoption and TTC decisions in prayer.
