Finished!

I am officially on summer break.  I have officially finished my first year of teaching!  I did it!  The last few days I spent at the new school where I will be working next year.  I had more people say nice things to me in those two days than I had in the whole year at the other school.  Really.  Pathetic huh?  I even had a lady ask if she could be my assistant.  She's a good worker and I know her from subbing at the school.  She's really good with the kids.  I told the principal that I would be okay with her working with me and she said that she would let me know.  I did get to see my new classroom and all the stuff.  I even got a list of returning students.  Um...let's say I'm not going to sweat it.  Apparently, I'll have some children with some heavy duty social emotional issues.  Lord willing, they will mature over the summer!  I'm not going to talk much about work from here on out...I need to let it go.  I have tons to organize and prepare which I will work on here and there.  This really is a good time to get ahead without the stress of having to do so.  I'm blessed to have this break and I'm going to savor everyday of it!

As far as news on my surgery...so far nothing.  I filled out a packet of information for the dr/surgeon and had that sent to her with my records, charts and other info.  I won't hear anything for a few weeks I'm sure.  I'm leaving this in the Lord's hands.  My hubby and I are tossing around some ideas for a few short trips or day things to do.  We are not planning any other kind of trips until we have a date.

So, onto relaxing!
