*Sigh* I won't be having surgery with dr. H or any of the surgeons that have been trained by him in Omaha. As most of you know, Dr. H has had some health issues of his own so he won't be avail to do my lap this summer. Dr. P. is having or has had a baby so she won't be around either...the other surgeon is booked for 3-4 months which means I can't have my lap this summer in Omaha. So, I've started the process to see if I can have that lap surgery with the surgeon (also trained by dr H) that is closer to home (maybe 3 hours away) this summer. It's this summer or we have to wait until the next summer. I really don't have any other time to allow proper healing due to my busy teaching schedule. I'm thankful for summer breaks...so I am praying that I can manage to get it done this summer.
Only three more days with the kiddos and about seven more days of work before summer break begins!!! I'm elated and love this perk of being a teacher! Heck..I've worked hard to get to this place so I deserve this break. I'm also kinda looking forward to the next school year...and working at the new site! God is amazing and I'm so thankful that I found this path that I believe He has mapped out for me.
My plan for the summer is to read, scrapbook, catch up on yard work and of course, start getting materials ready for the next school year (and most likely attend a few trainings). I also need to keep exercising and eating right. I'm trying to lessen my dairy intake and wheat. Oh...and one last thing..spend some quality time with my dh and family. I have an amazing dh and I can't wait to soak up as much together time as possible (he's also a teacher). God bless!
I'm sure that your path is going to be revealed to you soon! I know that it's all going to work out for you! Would you be able to take a leave during the school year? It was tough for me to take a leave, but I was able to have my surgery with Dr. H. I cannot begin to say how much better I feel (poorer, but definitely better!).
ReplyDeleteSeven days of work??? I am SO envious! I don't know how I'm going to make it to June 29th.
Praying you'll be able to get that done this summer!!
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah, you deserve this break!!! Woo hoo!!
ReplyDeleteAs for surgery, no biggie ;) All of the NaPro surgeons have been trained just the same as the ones at PPVI... I know you'll be in good hands.
My Dr has been recommending her patients the book "Wheat Belly." I hear it's a great read, and will likely get you more motivated for your elimination diet.
Glad to see TCIE's encouraging comment about having surgery with any of the NaPro surgeons. My doctor wasn't an Omaha doctor and he was amazing! (Sadly, is retired now, but I guess his family deserves his time too :)).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, praying you'll be able to get scheduled this summer.
Every time I see this title I see "Bye Bye Obama"!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your surgery can be done this summer!
