First of all, I just finished being part of a two day teacher's stri.ke. I never thought I would experience that as a new teacher but I'm glad I did. I've never felt more united with other teachers as I walked the pick.et line (I work for a rather large school district so I was amongst 1500+ other teachers.). I'm thankful it was only two days. So thankful (I know my toes are thankful too...they are all blistered from all the walking I did. But the pain was worth it. So worth it!). An agreement has been reached so I will be back to work on Monday.
As far as the cyst drama goes...it looks like I have two more cysts to keep an eye on or should I say my dr is going to keep an eye on. I don't need surgery but progesterone. ugh. I don't like that stuff but for a few months...I will just have to deal with it. Right? It does make me tired and emotional. I'm glad the end of the school year is near. I'm hoping the dr can find a form of progesterone that will work for me. I'll be praying. Do the rest of you PCOS'ers take progesterone too?
I guess I should have some response from Dr H soon. My dr will notify Dr H of my latest cyst drama. I know this will confirm the PCOS diagnosis. I'm okay with that. It is what it is. I just hope I don't have to deal with pain like that again.
Well, that's about it. I'm going to work on praying more during the upcoming Holy Week. I only have three days of work before it's spring break time. I love breaks!!! I'll only have six more weeks of school left before I am on summer break. Woohoo!!! I'm so looking forward to the summer. And I do have a job for next year. I wasn't let go (as a first year teacher in this district, this is good news)! Lots to praise God for. God really has been taking care of my dh and I when it comes to our teaching careers. I know it's where He wants me. I pray that I am being a good teacher and a loyal servant to the Lord. Now all I ask for is to be healthy (especially when it comes to my cycles).
One more piece of exciting news...we got a new refridgerator!!!! It's a side by side and it's huge! I can fit more stuff in it (is that a good thing?). I'm sure the next appliance we'll need is the dishwasher (since we've replaced everything else in the last few years). hmmmm......
My biggest fear is going on strike. Thank God it was only two days!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about progesterone for PCOS, but I know that HCG has helped me immensely.
I am so envious that you're almost done your school year. We go until the very end of June. :(
I hope the progesterone helps! Those cysts are no. fun. at. all.
ReplyDeleteHCG for PCOS? I'll mention that to the dr when I see her this week. Thanks JB. BTW: We begin our school year earlier than you...around Aug 24th. :)
ReplyDeleteHi LGW! I haven't been able to comment yet, but I wanted to say that I'm glad you are back to blogging. I'm sorry that you have to deal with cysts, I haven't ever had one burst, but I know some people who have and that it is very painful. I am excited that you are going to see Dr. H and will be praying for you and your husband.
