He put me in the right place.

I had an awesome first week of studen.t teaching. I went to teacher seminars and learned a lot. I also have been helping the teacher get her classroom put back together and getting my lessons and materials ready for when the children start in two weeks. All of next week, we will be doing home visits ( going to the student's homes to meet them, their families and fill out necessary paperwork). It's been exciting and I love it. I can't wait to meet the children and families.

The one thing that is making a lasting impression with me is that I have been made to feel right at home. The staff at this school have welcomed me and treat me like I'm one of them. They all knew me for I subbed at this school a lot for the last three years. They were all so encouraging when they heard I was student teaching at the school and hope I will teach there one day when I'm done (Lord Willing). They were thrilled that I was becoming a teacher. It's been uplifting. The cooperating teacher is so sweet, loves my ideas and is going to let me implement them in the classroom. Cool, huh? I can't say enough positive things about this experience. That is why I know this is exactly where I need to be. God put me in the right place. I am home. God is good!

The only hard thing has been getting up in the morning, getting enough sleep and trying to make it home after a long day without falling asleep in the car. I literally felt my eyes hurt as I drove home last Tuesday...I had a chiro appt after work and that just was too much. I feel better today so I think my body is finally adjusting. Oh yeah...tomorrow is Sat...I'm sleeping in(and catching up on the laundry, housework and errands)! :Welcome to full time. )

God Bless you all.

  6. Aw, this is great news! Sorry, things were a bit busy this week and I totally missed commenting on this earlier - please forgive me! :) Hey, I thought of you today - I signed up (finally) for those horse back riding lessons. I am excited. No more putting my life on hold for a potential pregnancy. They are saddlebred horses. What type do you ride? Yeah, I know that was random, but I wanted to tell you. God Bless you and have a great weekend!
