I will start with the most important item of discussion first...I prayed for "K" at Percolating Petals. I prayed the Rosary for "K" and her baby (due in less than 3 months!) and any other intentions that she may have. I also prayed for her while I was in adoration and at Sunday mass. I also thought of her intentions as I struggled to get through my last class. "K" is also a teacher so I know she knows what I'm going through. She just had a nice vacation to Califor.nia and everything with her pregnancy seems to be going well. It was a joy praying for her. I can't wait to see those baby pictures!
I just got back from a wonderful getaway weekend with my dh. We went to a quaint little town with lots of shopping and more history than I could ever have imagined. Now I'm not really a history buff but I got into it as we visited homes of some well known people...and these homes were built in the 18o0's! It must be the teacher in me for I went on this tour for my dh's sake and ended up loving it myself (he's the history guy). Lots of shopping...relaxing and eating. We stayed a nice little place that had entertainment, etc. This place also had a sitting area where my dh and I spent most evenings sitting on the leather sofas reading and listening to the entertainment from the pub nearby...we don't read together at home! Maybe this is something we can do together more.
It was so nice to get away and soooooo needed. I liked not having the computer and I loved spending such quality time with my dh. In a week from today... I will be studen.t teachi.ng and working full time again. Our quality time together will be limited. I'm so thankful to our good Lord for giving us this time to enjoy a little vacation and enjoy time together. I took a ton of pictures which I will post on my private blog in a few days.
I've missed a lot on the blogs lately...geez! I'm loving reading about all the prayer buddies! Thanks to TCIE and JBTC for organizing this. Thanks to my prayer own prayer buddy LH! It's such a blessing knowing someone else out there is praying for you! God Bless.
Misfit if you read this post...I thought of you! I got to see some very antiqu.e furniture and stoves...I'll try to post a few pictures later. You would have loved it!
Sounds like an awesome weekend! I am so glad you and your DH got away and enjoyed some down time before school starts back up. Oh, those evenings sitting on the couches sounds wonderful. Enjoy your last days until school starts back up, but I know you are going to do AWESOME at it!
