Yes, I did it!!! I believe I posted not too long ago that I felt a new blog title was coming...after much prayer and contemplation. I thought it would be appropriate to make this change with the New Year...it just seems so fitting. I'm totally at peace with living His will. My dh has been at peace with it for much longer than I. Do I hold out any hope for an addition to our family (besides another pet)? Sure, we are not avoiding anything. I'm still charting and who knows...I've still got time. It's hard to swallow the fact that IF I were to get pregnant now...I'd be having that child when I'm 40. Yikes! I never ever thought..ten years ago...I'd be facing that possible reality (see my little confession at the end). It's actually pretty scary...but if it happens to be that way...all will be okay for it's God's will and plan. Whatever happens from here and out..will be God's will. I'm Learning to surrender, let go and let God. And that is what this blog is going to be about. Thanks be to God.
So, with that I will share a few of my New Year's Resolutions:
1) Spirituality and prayer: I can always do more in this dept. More daily mass, more Rosaries and more novenas. Learning to live God's Will takes prayer and meditations.
2) Education: With one year left...I have to make this one of my top three!!! I'm still in awe and so thankful I've made it this far. I know this is part of His plan for me. It brings me to tears that I'm on this path. He said "I've a new career for you. Will you follow?" and I said "yes, I will follow." As those of you who are already teachers know...this is not an easy path to take. Teaching now days is a challenge (as it has always been, just different now). In E.C...I'm going to be working with teen parents...I've already seen some of the challenges that poses in itself...need I say more? I will do my best with prayer and lots of patience.
3). Body: I always add this to the New Year Res...so why stop now? I've let myself go...and I may just add my diet journal to my private blog. It may help me to stay motivated if others (besides my dh) know my weight(I'll be honest) and can offer encouragement. I do keep a record of what I eat and everything else. I won't post that...just thoughts and losing weight accomplishments, struggles or God forbid, gains. Sometimes that happens to me. I'll let you know if I decide to be so open. Would any of you be interested in doing this with me? Kind of a little IF sista thing? Let me know your thoughts...sometimes it's nice to have friends for encouragement.
4) Procrastinating...this always follows me. Ugh...I have to keep to my lists...when that is done...then I can veg in front of the tv or other mindless things I do to waste precious time (not blogging, of course). It is one of my biggest downfalls.
And no...getting pregnant this year is not one of my resolutions as it has been years before. I just pray that I don't get that endo again and I pray my body stays healthy so I can be that good wife, teacher, friend and sister in Christ. It's so hard when there's monthly suffering. It all could be part of the cross of IF..but I can pray for less physical suffering...right?
I do hope everyone has a good year and it brings forth many blessings (BIG and small) to all of you. God Bless.
** A little confession** When my dh and I were dating we took a getaway weekend to a small quaint town nearby. As were traveling...I told him...that due to the fact I was older (29...I seriously know how you girls near or at this age feel)..he'd have to keep that in mind for marriage and children. Haaa!!! I thought my clock was ticking by then. Those words obviously did not scare him off. He thought about it but it didn't matter to him. He didn't feel any pressure...not that I wanted him too...I just wanted him to know that if he wasn't serious about "us" then he needs to think about that. So, over ten years later..with the "clock" still ticking...I just have to laugh. Haaa...or should I say God had a good laugh back then?
I like the new name. I'll pray for you regarding your resolutions. The story about your DH is funny.
ReplyDeletelove the name and the look! 2010 will be a good one for you, you sound peaceful and I know that God is the reason. (and thanks for the story, def smiles)
ReplyDeleteI like it that you were forthright enough with him to tell him not to waste your time. And I know God is always having a good laugh at me :). I like your resolutions for 2010! And your new blog title. And layout. Everything is great :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck meeting your resolutions. I know that sounds sarcastic, but I mean it. You sound like you have a new plan and the energy to follow through with it.
ReplyDeletei am still around!! kind of like PFH said in her last post, since i'm not so wrapped up in waiting for a BFP i'm kind of short on words sometimes - a rarity for me :) but still here!
ReplyDeletei love the new blog title. i'm thinking 2010 is going to be a good year for all of us.
