Update** Please pray for the soul of my father's first cousin (my 1st cousin once removed) and his family. Stanley passed away Christmas evening after battling cancer. He was 79. Thankfully my parents went to visit him last Sat when they got the call that it wouldn't be much longer. Stanley was not in pain and died peacefully.*** Please pray for his wife "Sandy" who is also very sick after a recent heart surgery. They were sharing a room at a nursing home .** My mother stated "This really isn't so sad, he's no longer suffering and he knew this was coming. He had time to prepare. He's home with the Lord." She's right. How many of us will get to prepare?
Thanks for the prayers.

Christmas Greetings to everyone! I actually feel the excitement of Christmas today...I guess it's a good day to make my infamous fudge, huh? Today, my dh is getting Chines.e food for lunch/dinner and we are going to the midnight mass. Tomorrow, we go to my parent's house for dinner...they live four blocks from us (we went to my dh's families house yesterday). It's also my father's bday. I always tell him that it's such a blessing that he gets to share his birthday with Jesus. Isn't that nice? I guess it was kind of a bummer when he was a kid. He got the "shaft" sometimes. Hey, he is the one with the most gifts on Christmas now! We do use birthday wrapping, we make him a bday cake and we try to separate the two occasions for him. I'm thankful to be celebrating another bday with him. He'll be 82 years young (my parents were older when I was born)!
Well....My prayer buddy for this Advent Season was Pray, Hope, Don't Worry. I prayed for her intentions at mass, during adoration, nightly and I rallied all the saints to give her strength. I put my own IF aside and I prayed for my buddy instead. I also offered up some suffering too. I thought about her a lot. Boy, it's at times like these I wish I lived closer to her and everyone else. Sounds like Pray, Hope, Don't Worry could use a huge hug right now! I hope my prayers bring forth many blessings for her and that our Good Lord will continually give her the strength she needs. I will keep her in my prayers.
So, I hope everyone has a nice Christmas. I have you all in my prayers too.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
