Thanks to everyone who is praying for my friend's grandbabies. They are not our of the woods yet. The little boy is still in very critical condition and right now....the dr's think the little girl may have some kind of mass in her stomach. Prayers are still needed for these twins. My friend is so happy that she can be there with her family. Lord willing...the little ones will pull through!
I enjoyed subbing for my friend's first grade class. A little girl commented to the reading coach that I reminded her of the teacher but I was different. She said that the children really enjoy having me sub. I love when I get some good classroom experiences. These children were more helpful to me than they'll ever know. They did treat me like the teacher and respected my decisions. I know my friend felt better about being away from her classroom with me there (the other teachers told me this). I had the children make "Welcome back, we missed you " cards and I put them on her desk. I'm sure she'll love them! I also know this is where God wanted me to be. When something works out right...God is involved. Just like meeting and marrying my DH. Everything was right about that and I couldn't be happier!
No cycle news for me. I know BORING! When the cycle starts, I'll call the dr and confirm the surgery date and go from there. I don't know...after reading some recent blogs from some of you who have had this surgery...I started to get very nervous....pain...bowel preps...pain...no bending...scars...pain...vomiting...pain....liquid diet....pain...Yikes! Did I mention pain? I'm really not that nervous about it because it's something I have to do. I'll get through it but not without a lot of prayer and pain pills! Haaa....I pray (and I'm leaving this in God's hands) that I will be up to driving to my class (2 hours) five days after the surgery. I have to take this class and can not miss....Ugh! God bless!!!
I hope that all you have is a lap. :) I pray that for you! Because a lap can be done 10 x's over before a lap and a bowel resection. The bowel resection was where my pain was, so don't worry about the lap. I promise. :) It's a good suffering pain that you can offer up. It is funny I am not able to sometimes offer up the emotional pain, but the pain after surgery was good to offer up. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment!
The pain is worth it. You will have less pain later on! Once you are healed up from the surgeries, you almost forget about the severity of the pain. The best thing I could have done was stay moving. Both of my surgeries were in Omaha and as soon as I could safely move, we did. We did so much walking! It really helped. Especially after the lap t help ease some of the pain from the gases.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your vocation as a teacher was confirmed for you this week. God is so good to send you such wonderful children to care for and teach! God's brightest blessings are in your future!
I'll be praying for your surgery. What a wonderful blessing, to be able to provide concrete help to the family that is so worried for their little ones! I am praying for them too!
