I had my pre-op appt this morning. My surgery is scheduled for 1:30pm next Wednesday. I have a week to fret over this. LOL....anyways...the dr did an int.ernal ultra.sound and he said everything looked good. Whew! He did measurements and saw follicles. He said that he doesn't think by results of the ultrasound that my surgery will be too complicated unless he finds lots of endo, etc. So that was good. He also mentioned that my FSH was 4.6...good in the normal range. Other than that...they gave me pre-op things I have to do which does include an en.ema. Ugh! I can eat breakfast the day before and then liquid diet. Double ugh...I can also have 6oz of juice before 7am on surgery date. Nothing after 7am. I'm going to be starving that day! Oh well..I'm offering it up to the Lord. I was suppose to have surgery at 9am but they moved it until 1:30pm due to the fact that the dr has to do an eg.g retrie.val that morning. I had to laugh. He asked if I was interested in I.U.I's....I said no..he laughed. I didn't have to mention my religious reasons....but I think he got it. I'm sure an I.U.I would do the trick but that is not an option. God is our option. His will be done. We've accepted that. Oh....they dr gave me a script for a anti-nausea drug for after the procedure. Have any of you taken that? He gave me a script for pain meds too.
After the appt, I went shopping! Nothing like shopping to help me feel better. I got a cute pair of shorts and a summer sweater. It's cute. Ko.hls sent me a ten dollar give card in the mail the other day so I used that. Anything I can save works for me. hmm...I also went to Men.ards and I got some lights that were on clearance for the outside of our house! They look like what I wanted. I'll show them to my Dh to see what he thinks. THe ones we got with the house are brass and have tarnished or something like that. Time for new ones. These match the shutters.
Tomorrow I have to turn in my literac.y study project that I have been working on the whole semester. It's 40 pages long! My dh is sure the prof. won't read the whole thing because he has 20 other papers to read besides mine....but this will look good for my teacher's porfoli.o. I just my want A grade. I did this paper more for me. I did learn from it and that is what's most important! The week after surgery I start a new class. Lord willing everything will go as planned and we can TTC again with hope. By the way, I've told people about the surgery but not about TTC. I don't need questions again. Most people think we are done. hehe :)
You want to take the anti nauseau! I promise you won't be hungry at all! That will be the last thing from your mind! I promise, you will feel as though you are on a boat to Mexico. It doesn't feel good at all.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny that your surgery is close to your anniversary. There are a few other bloggers whose laps were done either on or close to their anniversary!!
I can't wait for it to get here!!
I am so glad that your doctor is so optimistic! You are going to want the medicine. Just in case! Always be prepared. Thank you so much for your continued prayers, know that I will be returning the prayers for you and your DH.
ReplyDeleteKeep up your faith alive, God is with you.
I agree with Sew. You won't feel like eating at all and take what ever med.s they give you. Be sure to get plenty of recovery time :) It sounds like yo have a busy schedule. I'll be praying for you. I am sure it will all go smoothly :)
ReplyDeleteMany prayers,
Amber
Yes, take meds! Meds are goooooood! (I only got nauseous once after mine, when I sat up for the first time. It passes, but it's good to have anything and everything you can to make you comfortable.)
ReplyDeleteThe enema isn't as bad as it sounds, either.
I'm glad the pre-op went well. Can't wait for Wed for you!!
