Please Pray!! Potential Adoption Situation!!! *Updated**

 **Birthmother ended up choosing another family.  We are okay with this because we put this situation in God's hands and we knew that if this was child was suppose to be our forever baby...it would have happened.  Well, I'm relieved to know either way now ( I couldn't sleep last night at all).  Also, my dh is now realizing anything can happen at anytime.  There were some things about this situation that seemed very risky but all I knew was that a baby was born and he needed a home.  I guess we both realized how much risk we are willing to take.  God bless everyone and thank you so much for the prayers!****

OMG!  I am working really hard at staying calm about this...however...before our Easter dinner today I checked my email and our agency emailed us about a baby boy that was born last Friday that needs a home!  Birthmom is going to look at profiles tomorrow morning and if she chooses us...we are going to pick him up and take him home!!!!  OMG!  I think one of the reasons we got this email is because we can go pick him up tomorrow....and our homestudy was just finished so it's updated and ready to go!

I showed the email to my ever so doubtful about adoption dh and he nearly fell over.  Of course, this adoption comes with some risks....and no matter what or where we adopt...there will be risks.  Baby Boy seems to be healthy...not in the NICU...eating and sleeping well.   He was born at 6.8 oz which is good. My dh and I had to keep ourselves calm but he did text me "Looks good." after dinner.  OUr family is not aware that we are trying to adopt again (obviously the first agency did not work out).  My dh said in the car on the way home "We just have to put this in God's hands...if this child is meant to be ours...it will happen."  How could I argue with that?  I was a little hesitant for we are really not "ready" but will we ever truly be ready?

So, this evening we did the much needed stop to Wa.l-mart and my dh joked "Here's your baby shower honey." and we bought what we think we will need for taking him home (tomorrow OMG!).  Bottles. diapers, blankets, clothes, that "thingy" to keep his nose clean...OMG...a pack and play for him to sleep in until we get a crib...car seat to take him home from the hospital....WE HAD NOTHING AT HOME.  I did think of something when we got home though...water for the formula...don't we need special filtered water?  If you can think of anything super important...please respond!  I got a thermometer.....hmmmm....good thing stores are close, huh?  We didn't buy formula...hopefully the hsp will send us home with some or tell us what we need.  I'm washing the baby clothes, and blankets as I write this.

Oh yes...we are not opening anything and we have the receipt. Afterall, we may not get chosen but we knew we had to be ready incase.

Okay...we emailed our friends who know we are adopting and our priest (who is wonderful).  I'm telling you because I need release and I know you will pray!!

Our Lord is good...if this child is meant to be our son....it will happen...THY WILL BE DONE!

BTW: My dh talked to a lawyer last Friday who he really liked.  We will call her tomorrow and I'm calling the pediatrician that came highly recommended.
