Five year blogavarsary Quick Takes

Wow...I can't believe it's been five years today that I started blogging.  If you want to read my very first post...go here http://livinggodswill.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-to-blogging.html.

Five years ago we were hoping to adopt through Catholi.c Charities.  Now we are adopting through a different agency that is more proactive and advocates for us.  Catho.lic Charitie.s just sits and waits for a pg mamma to come into their doors and then they council her into keeping that baby.  Not very advantageous for adoption.  Oh well..we live and learn right?

Five years ago I was working on my master's degree in Early Childhood Ed...now I'm working as a dev. therapist for the state E.I. program (thank you master's degree!).  So enjoying this more than teaching..just saying.  I've always loved babies and now I get to play with them all day.

Five years ago we had a cat named Bubby and now we have Jojo and Missy.

Five years ago, my dh was part of the Knights of Columbus...now he's a distric.t deputy..he's so called to lead in this organization...Go Mr. S!

Five years ago...I was suffering with endo...now I am endo free.  Lord willing I can say that forever now.

Five years ago I was looking for relaxing exercise...now I do yoga.  BTW:  Cats like yoga.  I do some at home when I can't get to the studio and Jojo says "It's not downward dog...it's downward cat!"  I know corny but he stretches with me and he loves relaxation. My dh just happened to walk by and caught him on his back with me.  Too cute!

So, lots can happen in five years.  We are still childless but I do believe we are happier now.  We have found things in our life we enjoy...like our mini-vacations...and trying different restaurants.  I look at the list and I see many positives.  My dh and I have always wanted to be parents and if it's not in God's plan for us...then we will continue living the purposeful life we have...it's okay...the last five years can attest to that.

St. Anne...pray for us.
St. Collette. pray for us.
St Catherine of Sweden..pray for us.
