Profile Complete!

The one thing I love about this new agency we are working with for adoption is that we sent them pictures and our own verbiage (who we are, our home, family, hobbies, etc) and they actually put the profile together for us.  They sent us a copy of the completed profile and we received it today.  We both are very pleased with it....so now...they can send it to potential bir.th mothers!  We can very well be connected with a birth mom before our home.study is done.  I don't think (and either does my dh) that anything will happen too fast.  We do know from experience it is not that good to get ones hopes up.  From what we gathered from the other couples who adopted through this agency...the majority waited a year or more.  Our contract is for 2 years...most couples had their forever baby by then.  This agency is very successful in placement.  The agency will keep us posted on whether or not we have had b/m's interested or not.

On waiting...we know there will be waiting involved...we've been waiting..what is a few more years?  Geez.  Nothing has happened fast or on our time when it comes to becoming parents.  It's also possible we still may not adopt.  I don't want to go there.  So, we'll continue to work on the home study, plan our little getaways, and I can continue working with my babies.   We'll continue to pray...lots.

So even though there is a part of me that wants to get excited (and go fill our potential nursery with baby necessities)....a bigger part tells me to slow down, relax, do yoga, read...just live. When we began TTC'ing..we did forget to live.   I guess I'll just keep my phone nearby and remember it's all in God's hands now...and if we are going to get our forever baby...it will be on His time...not mine (ours).  I am humbled.
