August 15th!!!! Next Wednesday!!!! I can not believe this!!!! Praise Be to Our Lord Jesus Christ!!!! I spent the last few days just working on putting this in the Lord's hands. I knew I was doing the right thing and He is just working in amazing ways right now. I cried all morning just knowing...for once...in years (maybe 12?), I am going to be healed. With a clean slate...I will do whatever I need to...to stay healthy. I am so thankful...so completely thankful. And I'm going to have surgery by Dr. S. who is Dr. Hilgers trained. Could it get any better than this??????
Now,,,I'm going to be super busy getting my classroom ready. I will be short on time. School starts soon! I went to the school yesterday to help with registration and I took on look into my room and felt completely overwhelmed. I will be doing yoga breathing a lot! Deep, deep, relaxation breaths (and lots of prayers). Whew!
Girls, thank you so much for your prayers and kind words. If I could ask for one more prayer...a successful surgery...I would be so ever thankful. It's going to be tough to get back into the classroom as soon as possible after surgery...but I really have no choice. I know......
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

ReplyDeleteAmazing news!!! I went back to work soon after my first laparotomy and it was tough, but it was doable. I'm keeping you in my prayers!
ReplyDelete(to answer your questions from your comment on my post) The scheduler told me the same thing but it didn't seem right to me so I called and spoke to a nurse. She said I could eat a normal diet up until I did the enema but then do liquids only up until midnight. She did say to do the enema around 5:00 pm. So all in all it wasn't too bad. I hope this helps answer your questions.
