Well, I'm definitely feeling like my old self again...well...actually...a better old self since endo is all gone! I just finished taking an antibiotic due to the fact that one of my incisions was swelling and guess what? Now I have a yeas.t infection. Geesh. So, I took that one magic pill today and will take another one in 3 days. I'm so thankful that I'm healing with a few bumps in the road but nothing too bad.
Here are a few post surgery thoughts I've been having and forgot to share on my last post:
1. I do NOT have PCOS. Dr. S got a good look at my ovaries and she said they are not poly cystic. Woo Hoo! PJ is doing the happy dance! My pain was endo and most likely an infection. My gp was speculating I had PCOS. I'll see her in a few weeks and clear that up. :)
2. A few of the hsp staff mentioned to me and my dh that after this surgery, it's very possible for me to get pg (and it's mentioned in the paperwork they sent home with me) and if we didn't want that to happen, we would need to use some method of b.c. Really? Of course, we were told that after my last lap too so I took their precaution with a grain of salt. I found this discussion ironic and when I told the nurses we couldn't have children, they didn't say much after that. Hmmm....I guess we'll see what happens. I'm leaving this in the Lord's hands. I just can't get my hopes up. It's just weird to have such a conversation...like I'm fertile or something. We will make some effort though. I'm curious. Hmmmm....are they right? Will surgery and hcg be the answered prayer? So thankful we went with Napro...God is good. Whether we have a child or not...I'm pretty positive I will be endo free/pain free!
3. HCG arrived in the mail today, syringes and all. Gulp. It's been awhile since I've given myself a shot. My gp is going to show me how to do these shots. This should be interesting. I had no idea that I would get two vials...one with meds and one with some kind of saline solution? Does this stuff make you feel better? Just curios on what some of your experiences was with it. I guess I worry some since I'll be back in the classroom again.
Well, I can't think of anything else. I start back to work tomorrow. Sigh. It was a lovely summer. I have so much to do. I hope to do a reflection on my summer. My dh and I took a few mini-trips. I have been busy getting my classroom together for next week, they little ones will be coming! It's going to be hard not lifting them but much harder if I do and I hurt myself. I can still give (((hugs))). I'm somewhat curious about my students and how I will run my classroom.
I hope everyone has a great week!
St. Anne...pray for us!!!
