A break full of thanks that included meeting bloggers!

I'm feeling so thankful today. This long weekend/break was just what I needed. Maybe things are a little more stressful than I thought. hmmmm.....Here is a list as to why I'm so thankful:

1. I ate too much on Thanksgiving. My dh and I shared a nice meal with my family and then we had to share another nice meal with his family. I'm thankful I had plenty to eat and then some.

2. Besides celebrating Thanksgiving, we also celebrated my mother's 80th bday! I can't express how grateful I am that she is still with us and so thankful she's healthy. When I was a little girl..I used to sometimes worry that my mother would die and leave me. This past weekend, I had that little girl feeling again. My mother is an amazing woman and she is who made me the woman I am today. I'll do a separate post on her later...

3. My dh and I met up with three other bloggers (JBTC, Time Won't Give Me Time and My Heart Exalts) and their husbands last Friday. It was amazing at how at ease we were all with each other. There wasn't a quiet moment at our table, huh girls? We were comfortable and we all enjoyed a fantastic evening of friendship and support. We are all on the same IF boat for now (Lord willing that will change for each and everyone of us soon). I'm thankful that I have met these new friends and I look forward to meeting up with them again and meeting other bloggers as well. We just never know when our paths will cross. The Lord is amazing like that.
** If you want to see pics go to JBTC...I haven't figured out how to get my pics off of my phone yet. Ugh!. ***

4. I sometimes feel my teaching talk is boring but it's my life right now (literally). I have 2 more weeks to go (actually nine days but whose counting). Praise be to God!!!!! I guess I could say teaching 2nd grade has been an experience. I know I'll miss those little varments...I mean children. Hehehe.... I'm thankful I have a new job experience to look forward too at a Catholic School. The Lord is amazing! I'm still in complete awe that I have a job!!!!

5. I'm thankful that I did find time to rest even though I had to catch up on lesson plans. That's just being a teacher...there is always something a teacher can be doing. The job never ends..right sister teachers????? Amen?

So, I'm thankful for my family, friends (especially this blogger community) and opportunities to gain experiences I never thought I would have. God is good...He is amazing.

I hope everyone has a blessed Advent Season. I hope preparing for Christmas is a joyful time and finds you all without stress. I look forward to praying for my prayer buddy and all of you during this time as we prepare for the birth of our baby Jesus. I pray for good health and peace! God bless.

  1. I got to read JBTC's post earlier and was so happy for you all to be able to meet! God really is good! There is nothing like finally being able to meet someone you feel you know so well already.

So glad you are feeling so grateful and loving your new vocation! The children will likely miss you, although they are not going to let you know that :)
