Happy Easter Prayer Buddy!

For Lent I prayed for Brenda at Life As We Know it http://http//lameys.blogspot.com. I wanted to do something different for Lent...so I prayed a nightly Rosary and remembered Brenda's intentions. I'll humbly admit that it is hard for me to pray the Rosary on a regular basis but since I wanted to keep someone elses intentions in my prayers, I found it motivating to pray every night. I also prayed for her intentions at my weekly adoration hour, at mass and just when I thought about her. Sounds like some of the prayers were answered! I love to hear that.

Brenda is a homeschooling mom with a three year old. I loved reading how much her daughter loves school and is looking forward to learning. As a future E.C. teacher myself...I just thought that was awesome. I found it interesting to read about homeschooling. hmmmm....I did like some of the ideas Brenda had when teaching her child. School or homeschooling is so much fun for children this age. That is one of the reasons I love teaching and working with the little ones!

I made a really nice Easter dinner for my family! I ate so much and maybe had too much wine (I don't usually drink so two glasses is too much for me) and full caffeinated coffee that I went to bed with an upset stomach. I knew I wasn't sick...I just ate too much. I have been drinking the 1/2 caf coffee so now when I drink 100 percent caf...I have stomach problems. Just something new I'm learning about my digestive system! Fun. So today is leftovers and working on the project for my class. A nice beautiful spring day out too. Maybe later I'll go for a nice long walk.

My dh and I spent a good amount of time last night contemplating foster care and adoption. There's a lot to consider and we are going to keep praying. We are not sure what we want to do but are not going to get into anything until I'm done with studen.t teachin.g. So, for now I'm going to focus on the the present and leave the future to God. He's letting us know in so many ways the direction we need to take. Many blessings!

  1. Oh thank you so much! Yes, we had some amazing blessings big and small happen during Lent. The biggest of course being me finding another little one to watch in my home and bringing in some much needed money. But I have felt so energetic (so unlike me!) and have tackled 2 things I've just kind of been dreading: potty training and starting preschool at home. I kept telling myself and my husband I don't know how I've managed since I dreaded it so much! We also had a perfectly lovely and peaceful Lent and Easter as well! Thank you for your prayers and sacrifices! God bless you!

  2. Happy Easter!

Oy. I know digestive issues all too well and a dramatic increase to caffeine will cause it. As long as you got a great meal . . . that’s all that counts, right? I’m glad you had such a sweet lady to pray for this Easter.

  3. Wow, I didn't know caffeine could cause a stomachache. It seems like our bodies are plotting against us! Glad to hear you had a good Easter. We're doing the "looking into information about" stage with adoption as well. I guess we'll see.

  4. Hi there! I just got the sweetest card and package from you in the mail and wanted to say thank you again! I love the book! Mary wasn't as relevant to me as I would have liked until I became a Mother and now I rely on her so much! She is such a wonderful model in so many ways and I can't wait to settle down and read:) Have a good week, Brenda
