Summer Recap with pics (a little late)

I've been meaning to do a quick summer recap but I got side tracked by surgery and starting my new school year and being so absolutely crazy busy.  I thought the second year of teaching was suppose to be better?  Maybe starting at a new school has something to do with it.  I now also have a permanant teacher's assistant and she is wonderful.  She did confide in me yesterday that her and her dh are not avoiding getting pg.  They already have two kids.  I didn't share with her my story but I did think "Wouldn't it be nice if we could BOTH be pregnant?"  But we all know...that is not my life story.  Anyways....here's a mini recap of the some of the fun things we did summer 2012.

One fine summer day when it wasn't so hot...we jumped in our car and went to a state park and did some hiking.  It was gorgeous out and after the hike we enjoyed a fab lunch.  This was in June.  So glad we could be so spontaneous. Literally.

In July, we took a mini trip to La. Cross.e WI to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadeloupe.  It was very inspiring and we definitely will go there again.  Such a blessing to go to daily mass there and recieve confession.

I celebrated another bday in July.    My mom baked the cake and said the candles represented, health, happiness, peace and love.  She wanted all those things for me...we all knew at that time that I was facing another surgery.  My mom (and dad) are such a blessing in my life.  She's even been cooking us meals for she knows we are so busy.  I couldn't have asked for better parents.  Thank you Lord!

Since we had to make a three hour trip to see Dr. S for a consult (before surgery) we made a mini trip out of it.  We first went to visit the college where my dh got his bachelors.  That was neat.  He had so many memories to share and we even met up with a college friend and her dh for dinner.  It was really special.  We also went to visit Linco.lns tomb.

Since neither of us had been to our state capitol...we decided to visit that too.  We went in and prayed the St. Michael prayer.  We are not very fond of our gov.  I'm not going to say more about that.  That evening we met up with more of my dh's friends for dinner and their adorable girls.  The three year old and I hit it off.  I wanted to take her home but her parents wouldn't let me...hahaha...:)

Anyways, that was a mini recap of our summer!  It seems like it was such a long time ago.  It went by so fast.  But it was good.  It was relaxing and lots happened.

On the IF front...I had my p+7 b/w done yesterday so I'm curious to see where my hormones are at.  So far, the hcg is okay. And so far NO reaction.  I really don't like giving myself shots..but who does?  The first one I did, I did it wrong and ended up with a big bruise on my belly.  My mom showed me the second time and it went better...a little bruise.  Last night I did it myself...and it was much better.  Geeesh....

Thank you for all of your support and prayers!

St. Anne...pray for us!

  1. Those shots are awesome, but no fun doing them yourself! They just do wonders for the body and spirit!!

  2. Is it strange that I'm excited to be back on HCG this cycle? I'm so tired of the PMS!

Looks like you had a fun summer. I can't believe how crazy busy it's been since school started. It feels like we were never off!

I have my first HCG shot tonight - the pharmacist is going to teach me how to do it.
