Birthdays and Vacations

Last Monday (July 21st) my dh and I celebrated my birthday (and spent five days) in Branson, MO.  It was such a fun and much needed vacation.  My dh loves me so much he went riding with me...and he did not like it much...but I enjoyed the ride immensely and since it was my bday...that is what mattered.  Awe... I know...igotanawesomehusband.   He also bought me a new, much nicer camera.  So next time he complains about me taking pictures...I will remind him about the bday present he got me. hahaha
As we drove around the area, we came upon a scenic overlook...just breathtaking!!!
I just love being by water...this pic was taken on Table Rock Lake...it was very hot out.  We drank lots of water on this trip and sweated a lot too.  Whew.
I just love ice cream so we indulged a few times while we vacationed.  Actually we ate pretty healthy on this trip besides the ice cream.  I had the best veggie omelet EVER at the restaurant that was at the place where we stayed at (we actually rented a condo very reasonably).  We booked early which saves money.
My dh is the brave one to take a helicopter ride.  I get motion sickness and since I didn't want to ruin the rest of the day....I took pics from the ground.  He did get an awesome video (using my new camera).  I actually was a little sad I couldn't go. That feeling lasted just a few seconds for when he landed...we were off doing more fun stuff.
We also got to take a tour of a replica of the Titanic.  Very interesting and sad.  This was suppose to be the voyage of a lifetime for so many people.
What would a vacation be without some "selfies".  Ha!  I love selfies...just too fun.  This vacation was full of everything I love...spending quality time with my dh, riding horses, eating ice cream, swimming, sight seeing, seeing performance shows and lots of shopping.  What else could this girl ask for?  God is so good.   I thanked Him many times for the blessing of being able to vacation and get away.  We also prayed the St. Anne and Joachim novena...no matter what we are doing..we always find time for prayer.   So completely thankful for this vacation...so needed...now I have such good memories.

    1. Branson is a nice place to visit....the food prices seemed reasonable but the shows were a bit pricey...now that we know, next time we plan a trip there...we will look for those discounts.

  3. Looks like a fantastic vacation! I've always been curious of Branson, MO! Actually, I'd love to see that replica of the Titanic. I bet it was eerie, but gorgeous. So glad you got a chance to get away and relax. And I would have been right there with you... letting the husband ride the helicopter while I looked on from the ground. Oh, and eating all that ice cream!!
